Flavor Race is an immersive and competitive board game designed for adults passionate about strategic challenges and flavors. In this game, participants take on the role of expert flavorists competing to create the best e-liquid blends, carefully balancing ingredients and avoiding penalties to achieve the highest score. Each game requires a combination of strategy, creativity, and precision in measuring flavors and base ingredients.
The game includes cards that represent different flavor formulas, bottles of various sizes, and a range of ingredients, including specific flavors and bases such as glycerin and glycol. Players must manage their resources effectively, also considering the balance between flavors and bases, to complete their formulas and accumulate points. The more complex the formula, the higher the score.
Perfect for groups of adults and board game enthusiasts looking for a challenging and strategic experience, Flavor Race is a race to become the best flavorist, combining skill, knowledge, and intuition in a high-intensity challenge.

Game Mechanics

In Flavor Race, each player starts with the goal of creating the best possible flavor blend, using a combination of ingredients that include e-liquid flavors and bases. The game unfolds in turns, with each player facing two main phases:🎴Spilling or Drawing Phase
The player decides whether to spill ingredients from the Barrels (ingredient containers) or draw a card from one of the available decks. Spilling: Each player can spill up to 3 ingredients from the Barrels, with the option to spill one extra ingredient if they have the Initiative card. Spilled ingredients are immediately poured into available bottles. Drawing: The player can choose to draw one or two cards from the Bottles and Bonus decks or from the Formulas and Balancing decks. Each drawn card contributes to creating the formula or modifies the game dynamics.

⚗️Formula Completion and Mixing
After spilling or drawing ingredients, players must work to complete their formulas. Each bottle has a flavor quota and a base quota that must be filled correctly to declare the bottle as complete. Flavor Quota: Must be filled with the right flavors, as specified in the Formula card. Base Quota: Must be filled with ingredients like glycerin, glycol, and nicotine.Players can also mix ingredients between bottles to optimize their formulas, but they must be careful not to ruin existing bottles.🎛️Balancing Phase
Each completed bottle must be paired with a Balancing card, which defines the proportion of glycerin (VG) and glycol (PG) in the liquid. A correct balance is essential to earn points. Players must be strategic in deciding when and how to complete their formulas to maximize their score.

🃏Bonus and Initiative Cards
Bonus Cards provide temporary advantages, such as the ability to change an ingredient, ignore the balance, or steal the initiative from another player. The Initiative card grants a special advantage to its holder, allowing them to act before others or take extra strategic moves.🏁End of Game and Scoring
The game ends when one of several end-game events occurs, such as the depletion of the Formula or Bottle cards, or when no player can complete additional formulas. At the end, points are calculated based on the complexity of the completed formulas, considering penalties for unused ingredients or incomplete bottles. The player with the highest score becomes the "Flavor Master" and wins the game.
